Forum Istanbul shopping center is Europe’s largest shopping center. The shopping mall employ 5,000 people and house some 280 national and international brands. It is expected to draw 20 million visitors annually.

Built on an area of 495,000 square meters in the Bayrampaşa district, Forum Istanbul comprises 175,000 square meters of leased area plus an IKEA store measuring 30,000 square meters and a Real supermarket covering about 15,500 square meters. The development will also include public spaces and parks where festivals, as well as cultural and sporting activities, will be organized.

Brand names such as Tepe Home, Saturn, Teknosa and Bimex will cover 11,500 square meters. The stores Boyner, YKM, C&A, M&S and Zara will also be included in the shopping mall, which will have a parking lot with room for 5,500 vehicles.
In addition, Forum Istanbul will be home to a giant Ferris wheel that will be as tall as the Bosphorus bridge, along with a bowling alley, restaurants, an IMAX movie theater, an ice-skating rink and playrooms for children.

The biggest attraction of this giant shopping center is Turkuazoo an aquarium housing 10,000 different species and constructed on 8,000 square meters of land.
Forum Istanbul is unique, adding a new dimension to the existing retail market in the region. The scheme offers a contemporary urban experience, interspersed with boulevards, piazzas, avenues, courtyards, and monumental buildings. The interplay of these elements produces streets with sweeping views, narrow lanes with shadow and contrasts of scale and public squares with different spatial qualities. A public area with spectacular landscape, it is suitable for festivals, concerts, markets and sports events. Signage, fountains, sculptures and art will also be a part of the project.

Residential and office functions are located in an upgraded green area, providing an elegant and park-like surrounding and enhancing the residential atmosphere. Domestic housing blocks are placed to create a community that faces inward, towards the recreational activities area. Interior vistas are formed on the roof’s green terraces. Blocks of varying height provide different settlement options for different economic lifestyle alternatives.

Forum Istanbul had a spectacular opening show by laser-projecting the work of Turkey’s 15 top living artists across Istanbul’s iconic buildings and 25 giant Forum Istanbul tulip logo balloons illuminated the skyline, Multi’s Marcel Kokkeel, Board member and Chairman Multi Mall Management and Levent Eyuboglu, MD Multi Turkmall, signaled the start to a spectacular evening of art projected onto the Topkapi Palace, Istanbul Train station, AKM in Taksim Square and other key locations to hundreds of thousands of local residents and tourists. Multi donated the show to the city of Istanbul and announced the opening on 17 November of Forum Istanbul – the largest shopping and excitement center in Europe.

Istinye Park shopping mall features 300 shops and the first IMAX Theater.

Istinye Park shopping mall features 300 shops, the first IMAX Theater, top local and global brands, cafes and exclusive restaurants.

The shopping center is a unique urban lifestyle environment situated on a natural topographical “amphitheater” of residential neighborhoods. Above, a grand circular arrival plaza sits between an open-air lifestyle center and a glass-roofed indoor retail area.

In addition to many glamorous shops and a hip theater complex, the modern mall hosts a variety of restaurants, cafes and even a food market. The shopping mall proves that it’s different to its customers since the opening day with the different living spaces in its brand new concept such as The Fashion District, The Boulevard, The Square and the nostalgic Market Place.

The new shopping mall offers famous brands like Dolce & Gabbana, Dior, Prada, Celine, Fendi, Hugo Boss, Max Mara, Zara, Boyner, Mango, M.A.C., Sephora, Sevil, Vakko, and Debenhams.

The most luxury and exclusive stores are located out side at the open-air lifestyle center which is accessible from the upper floor. In Istinye Park Brands’ Street, an open space designed as a city square which is a first in Turkey, features many brands that pave the way to the world fashion such as Burberry, Gucci, Miu Miu and Louis Vuitton and restaurants of different cuisines line up.

World-famous Rainforest Café has opened its first location in Turkey and is located in Istinye Park at the ground floor of the complex.

IstinyePark offers art, fun, sports, shopping and world cuisines to any one and is the new apple of Istanbul’s eye with its almost 300 stores and 40 restaurants. While this wonder of design, which virtually intensifies the joy of life, meets different tastes and needs, it also showed its difference among all the shopping malls with 41 new brands that entered Turkish market via İstinyePark. İstinyePark, which breathed a new life into Turkey and Istanbul, has managed to become an indispensible address for those, who want to spend a great day.

City's features 150 stores, cinema's, Top local and global brands, cafes and restaurants.

City’s Nisantasi shopping center, is located on the street of Tesvikiye that is the heart of retail shopping in the luxurious district of NISANTASI in Istanbul.

Nisantasi is the center of fashion in Turkey and the most prestigious national and international trademarks can be found in the district.

Nisantasi is one of the most historical districts of Istanbul and it has been a district where the most elite people lived throughout its history. The development of the district starts when Sultan Selim the 3rd builds an archery drilling area (deep effects of European point of view could be observed on the Sultan).

During the last period of 18th century, Abdülhamit the 1st chose Nisantasi for the wedding ceremonies of his sisters which lasted two weeks. The close location of the district to the palaces of Dolmabahçe and Yildiz, the effect of Pera culture, dwellers of many international perspectives and high purchasing power made Nisantasi a lively and cosmopolitan district.

About City’s

City’s Nisantasi project is a prominent A+ Project that has the top location in Istanbul with an investment of 125.000.000 USD

City’s features 150 stores, cinema’s, Top local and global brands, cafes and exclusive restaurants. Starbucks is on the first floor, and the Canadian coffee chain Second Cup Coffee, has opened its first branch in Turkey. On the second floor there is a Gloria Jeans Cafe, and Café Crown on the third level.

Food and Drinks

The Restaurants are on the fourth floor. The popular Yummies Food Bar offers an international menu focusing on Italian specialities. Alongside it is the Mexican restaurant Cantina Mariachi, with colorful decorations and sizzling Mexican platters with guacamole and salsa. Suinn is a hip and chic Japanese and sushi eatery with modern minimalist Asia decoration and wonderful smells of fresh sushi rolls and green tea. Next-door is the first branch of the Etiler-based eatery “Harvard Café” that has a cozy atmosphere and offers a similar menu to its original location. Across from Harvard Café is the 10Dieci bar that looks like a fashionable after-work hangout.

Ben and Jerry’s Homemade Ice Cream is on the same floor that opened its second store in Turkey after Kanyon.

Movies

The movie complex is at the top level of City’s, also there is a fine dining area with the Asian restaurant Celandon which will immediately catch your eye. Celadon has award-winning chefs and serve mostly Chinese food. Next to Celandon is a French restaurant, Clementine owned and run by Levent Penso. The restaurant Grey which offers international cuisine and especially Italian food, is also run by Levent Panso.

Go to Good Life by Davidoff Cognac to enjoy a cigar and drinks.

The most unique restaurant of City’s is “It’s a Joke Restaurant“ by culinary entrepreneur Izzet Çapa. With an enthusiastic and outgoing staff along with a pile of fresh colorful vegetables and an open kitchen. But the dining area with crystals, fireplace and elite art gives an impression of high class dining.

Turkey’s most distinguished shopping mall features 160 stores.

Kanyon an urban oasis in Istanbul. Turkey’s most distinguished shopping mall. The amazing new shopping center Kanyon opened in Istanbul (Turkey) May 2006, offering 400,000 square-feet of retail space, 26 tower floors of offices, and 179 luxury residences.

Kanyon Istanbul is fusing a unique approach to shopping, entertainment and retail in an extraordinary architectural shell. Kanyon features 160 stores, 9 cinema screens, fitness center. Top local and global brands, cafes, and open air performances are set in an atmosphere alive. Kanyon houses trendsetting prestigious brands with the world-famous fashion retailer Harvey Nichols. Apple’s first store in Continental Europe is also located in the new shopping center Kanyon.

Opened in June 2006, Kanyon is a mixed-use project built in downtown Istanbul that brings together 179 residential apartments, a 26 story office block and 37,500 square meters of retail space.

With Kanyon, the aim has been to create a heart-of-the-city that connects the people working, living, and shopping in the region and beyond, which will function more as an organic part of the urban space rather than a standard mall, office, or residential project.

The designers for Kanyon are the Jerde Partnership (www.jerde.com ), who are the world’s leading ‘experiential’ architectural practice. Their focus on the creation of ‘place’ rather than just a ‘building’ is very unique. Their primary concern is on how people interact with space, how this energy animates the environment, and how places can have a more intimate meaning in people’s lives beyond the physical space itself. It is a unique blend of design, understanding and directing human behavior, architecture, and urban planning.

Kanyon residences offer a nest at the heart of the action, but balance it with our need for tranquility and connection to green and outdoor space. Unlike most other modern residences, Kanyon offers balconies, private terraces and gardens, windows that actually open to let in fresh air, and 3,500m2 of common garden space. Residents at Kanyon will not feel like they are living in a hotel room.

The residences are based on 21 different styles ranging from 80 m² to 380 m². With interiors that are designed by Sevil Peach and Brigitte Weber, Kanyon residencse are unique, elegant, versatile, and functional.

Kanyon offices offer professionals a synergy of work and play. With cafés, restaurants, bars within the complex, social life at Kanyon is as vibrant as work life. Also, the 4000 m2 fitness club gives a chance to unwind and integrate wellness into hectic work schedules.

Spread over 4 levels, in a primarily open air environment, the retail mix at Kanyon sets the stage for 4 totally distinct streets, each with its own energy and vibe. This innovative positioning allows visitors to really connect with brands, and makes finding your way around both intuitive and more exciting. Further, as most walking areas are covered and climate controlled, Kanyon blends open-air with comfort and allows visitors to experience the best of each season. More than this, Kanyon marries the convenience of the shopping center with the vibrant air of the street in an inspiring one-of-a-kind setting.

Kanyon Istanbul is home to 160 stores, complete with gourmet supermarket, street bazaar, cinemas, restaurants, health club, and outdoor performance areas. The world’s top fashion, luxury, electronic, and entertainment brands satisfies every retail desire. Dozens of new brands entering Turkey for the first time, ranging from Wagamama, Douglas, Apple Store, to Conbipel are all featured. The big news is that, the world’s leading fashion mecca, Harvey Nichols, is the anchor. Bringing with it the countless brands that have given Harvey Nics its sassy edge in the UK, there is no doubt that this will immediately become the fashion center of Istanbul. Beyond this, the overall experience and selection at Kanyon will set the standard for shopping not only in Turkey, but for the entire South European region.

Akmerkez the most award winning shopping center of Turkey

Akmerkez the most award winning shopping center in Istanbul.

In 1995, the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) selected Akmerkez as the Best Shopping Center in Europe. In 1996, Akmerkez was given the recognition as the Best Shopping Center in the World by ICSC and also received the highest accolade, Design and Development Award.

Akmerkez, with its 246 shops, provides outstanding women’s, men’s and children’s clothing and textiles, stationery, toys, sports, shoes, eyewear and gift shops along with restaurants, cinemas, hairdressers, banks, a currency exchange office, electronic goods, orthopedic goods, shoe shine services, a tailor, a pet shop, and a supermarket for all the shoppers needs.

Turkey’s leading retail center, Akmerkez, recently announced a 25 million dollar refurbishment plan to maintain their No.1 status. The new design will include a comprehensive renovation of the exterior architecture, interior design, lighting, signage, and an expansive, new style restaurant and food zone. The entire center will be upgraded to achieve a new sense of luxury and lifestyle shopping, with special attention to pampering shoppers with special services and facilities. In the most modern way, the design is inspired by the Bosphorus (Istanbul’s famous water passage connecting Europe to Asia). The new center is conceived with luminous soft, curving forms and spaces. It is elegant and timeless, with changing personalities from day to night.

Akmerkez is open every day of the week between 10:00-22:00 and is visited by 1-1.5 million people every month.
