Besides up-to-date information on entertainment, cuisine and cultural and artistic life, users can also benefit from online maps.

The application offers all details, such as content, time, location, contact information and prices for arts events under categories that cover concerts, parties, cinema, theater, opera, ballet and exhibitions. With the cinema information, users can learn about any movie playing anywhere in the city.

iPhone’s new service also lists restaurants, night clubs, pubs, taverns, cafes, lounges, wine houses and many others according to search criteria.

Despite only being launched recently, the istanbul.com iPhone application has already entered the top 25 list at the App Store, climbing to the top of the Lifestyle category, according to a company statement.

The Istanbul iPhone application, meanwhile, is free of charge.

The Web site, which has over 400,000 members, offers services in English and Turkish interfaces.
