The First and Only Blues Festival of Turkey Celebrating Its 23rd Year, presented by Efes Pilsen and organized by Pozitif Live, is back for another round of great music.
The 23rd Efes Pilsen Blues Festival will be held between November 2 and December 8 2012. The concerts of giants of blues will begin in Antalya and continue with 24 concerts in 20 cities.
Efes Pilsen Blues Festival is one of the very first festival that has introduced blues music to Turkey and became a tradition over years. On its 23rd year, Efes Pilsen Blues Festival is preparing to host the stars of blues.
Presented by Efes Pilsen and organized by Pozitif Live, Turkey’s the most long-running festival, reached over 424 thousand people with 355 concerts in 22 years.
This year between November 2 and December 8, the wind of blues will be blowing over Turkey and will give an unforgettable experience to the audience with 24 concerts at 20 different cities.
Efes Pilsen Blues Festival’s 24 concerts will be held at; Antalya, Denizli, Konya, Kayseri, Mersin, Adana, Hatay, KKTC, Gaziantep, Diyarbakır, Erzurum, Trabzon, Ankara, Eskişehir, Bursa, Balıkesir, Istanbul, Edirne, Çanakkale and İzmir.
Award winning (such as Grammy, Emmy and other prestigious awards) blues education pioneer and a musical genius, harmonica virtuoso Billy Branch will perform with his band The Sons of Blues, and with his special guest Zora Young, who began her career with singing blues and R&B music, and performed with significant musicians such as Junior Wells, Jimmy Dawkins, Bobby Rush, Buddy Guy, Albert King, Professor Eddie Lusk ve B.B. King. One of the most important performer of Texas Blues, electronic blues guitarist Smokin’ Joe Kubek & Bnois King and one of the world’s best drummer, award winning Cedric Burnside will be performing at Efes Pilsen Blues Festival 23.
