British singer Sir Elton John, who will perform in 47 cities and 21 countries as part of a world tour, will perform before Turkish fans July 5 in Istanbul and July 6 in Ankara.
Elton remains committed to his music and to touring, becoming more, rather than less, busy as time passes. During 2010 Elton toured with Billy Joel, with Ray Cooper, and with his band: Bob Birch (bass), Kim Bullard (keyboards), Davey Johnstone (guitars), John Mahon (percussion) and Nigel Olsson (drums). He also recorded a new studio album, The Union, in collaboration with Leon Russell and Bernie Taupin, and produced by T Bone Burnett. Released in October, the album was an international chart success and led to Elton and Leon Russell touring in the USA along with their bands, and musicians from The Union studio recording.
John’s Ankara concert will be one of the most important concerts in the Turkish capital to date. Ankara’s music lovers in the Platinum and Gold sections will benefit from a tasty open buffet and beverages services at a special area before the concert.
Ticket prices for the Istanbul concert are 565 Turkish Liras (Club House), 415 (category 1), 365 liras (category 2), 315 liras (VIP standing), 140 liras (standing), 75 (full) and 50 (student).
