Scorpions in Istanbul

German hard rock band the Scorpions are in Istanbul to give a memorable concert in İstanbul on October 2nd, with the association of UNILIFE Organisation.

The Scorpions will meet the Turkish audience once again in 15 years. The 40-year-old band sold over 100 million albums throughout their career, which will end with a tour of five continents in three years.

The Scorpions, a heavy metal/hard rock band from Hanover, Germany, are known for their 1980s rock anthem “Rock You Like a Hurricane” and their singles “No One Like You,” “Send Me an Angel, “Still Loving You,” and “Wind of Change.”

The band was ranked 46th on VH1’s Greatest Artists of Hard Rock program. “Rock You Like a Hurricane” is also 18th on VH1’s list of the 100 Greatest Hard Rock Songs. On Jan. 24, 2010, the band announced that they will be retiring after touring in support of their new album Sting in the Tail.

The Scorpions will take the stage Oct. 2 at Maçka Küçükçiftlik Park in Istanbul. The concert will begin at 8 p.m.
