Torium Shopping Mall in Istanbul is a newer shopping mall concept that combines shopping and recreation.
Torium Istanbul offers many brands at enormous stores and a wide range of products. The Mall provides for a convenient shopping experience thanks to the architectural structure and the social spaces as well as its location.
Torium stands out especially with the Snowpark, the first snow-themed recreation center in Turkey and another recreation center with many amusement park gadgets most of which will meet the visitors for the first time. Among the other pleasing services are the parking lot and shoe-shining along with a medical room, an ambulance, baby room, wireless internet connection, car wash and the valet service.
The Torium shopping center, constructed with a $200 million investment, has been opened in Istanbul’s rapidly growing Esenyurt district.
The construction of Torium began in 2008, and was opened in Autumn 2010 by top government representatives, including Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
The mall aims to surpass 1 million visitors per month and Torium has created jobs for 2,000 people.
Torium is also be active as “a social and cultural center with its concept, architecture, outdoor shopping center, cultural and artistic activities and entertainment opportunities.
The mall, which hosts 180 stores, has a rentable area of 95,000 square meters. The shopping center also hosts the Torium Snowpark, which offers winter sports opportunities and cost 6 million euros. The facility includes a 55-meter-long snowboard track, a ski run and a playing field.
The Starpark Lunapark, worth 5 million euros, is another entertainment area inside the mall.
