Trump Towers Istanbul Officially Opens For Business

Trump Towers Istanbul, a joint project by Doğan and Trump, has officially opened with a ceremony attended by PM Erdoğan and Aydın Doğan.

At the ceremony Erdoğan thanked those involved with Trump Towers, a $400 million project. “Starting with Ortadoğu Otomotiv and D-Yapı, I would like to thank, on behalf of my country and nation, everyone from architectures to mechanics, from contractors to workers,” he said.

The two towers launch a new period for both the district and Istanbul with its architecture and services it offers, Erdoğan said.

“As I have learnt from Aydın Doğan, some 80 percent of the residences and offices at the Trump Towers are full already,” Erdoğan said, adding that this fact showed that those who invest in Turkey win.

The prime minister said he was particularly happy with the fact that the mall prioritized children and families. The mall dedicates one whole floor — 8,000 square meters — to children.

Trump Towers shopping mall in Istanbul, the first venture to bear the Trump name in Europe features 190 stores offering a unique blend of fashion, entertainment introducing brands like Promod, Crocs, Gymboree and Pure Jatomi Fitness Center to the Turkish market for the first time. In addition, local brands like Sarar, Paşabahçe, Network, Desa, Divarese and Saat&Saat will also rent mall space. The mall will also have an extensive food court with chains like Burger King, Günaydın and Ramiz Köfte, but will also offer more high-end flavors like Turkey’s famous Borsa restaurant and Fratelli La Buffalo.

One of the main innovations brought by the center will be a shopping center for children, covering an area of 9,000 square meters, where children will be able to entertain and participate in activities.

Donald Trump and his daughter Ivanka Trump were scheduled to arrive in Istanbul today and join a press conference in the morning at the Trump Towers Mall.
